Hannah and I came up with this idea way back in September of 2007. She was fourteen at the time, and I was eleven. Back then most digital cameras weren't meant to record video--that is, not very well. It didn't even have audio. We called that move UPS (Unreliable Postal Service).

We started the Super Pig project in 2008. Looking back at it, it looks like a fail, but we were really pushing what we had at the time. We released it on October 18, on Hannah's birthday. We began talking about what our next movie would be. I wanted to make Super Pig 2. So did Timothy. But Hannah wanted to make UPS.
I began to write the first scene that December with Timothy and Hannah. I also made a little trailer using the old footage from the first version of the movie. I couldn't wait to start filming. Our deadline? November 20, 2009.

That was two years ago.

After hopping from release date to release date (not to mention have Jared Sweers coming into the scene halfway through and wanting to make the Risen Trilogy) we've set our deadline to this Christmas.  Well. Merry Christmas!

After staying up late and waking up early for weeks and weeks hunched over the computer struggling to make it cooperate, it's finally done. I couldn't say anything else with our mentioning my Dad. He kept on pushing me and pushing me when I felt like giving up. Thanks Dad.

DELIVER-E cover art

With the movie being postponed again and DELIVER-E beginning to feel like the next 787, I thought I would just show y'all what the DVD cover is going to look like. What do you think?

As for the rendering, I've got another problem on my hands. I have know idea what is is. For now, the goal is December 19th (Sunday).

"I call all times soon." ~Aslan

If you haven't noticed already, today is December 12th, and Deliver-e isn't out on DVD. There is a reason for that.

The movie, by the way, is done. Some people have seen it already and we've been getting some very encouraging feedback. But the dilemma lies in the final stage of compiling the menus, scene selections, and bonus features onto the DVD. The rendering is freezing up, and not getting burned onto the disc. I've been spending the better part of the day troubleshooting the problem, and while I think I have solved it, it's probably going to take an extra day or so to get a real solid copy.  Plus I've got to get Disc 2 together, and who knows what will happen there.

So what's the new release date? There isn't one. It might be tonight, tomorrow, the day after, next week, or not until Chirstmas. (I'll get done by Chirstmas for sure). Further up and Further in!

Release Date MOVED.

After much debate, the release date for DELIVER-E has been pushed to SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12th, due to conflicting events, intense work schedules, and basically not enough time to get it done.

Thanks for all your patience and support for this movie! Continue to spread the word with your friends and we're looking forward to the 12th!!!!!

Another trailer of Destiny

No, I'm not talking about Deliver-e. Get ready for something that has nothing to do with Snowtop Studios whatsoever.

Anybody who knows me probably knows is that I'm a huge Narnia fan. You probably didn't know that I've been a Narnia fan for almost a decade now. And you probably DO know, that a certain multi-million dollar motion picture coming out this December that is about Narnia.

Ok, you've probably figured out by now. A new trailer is out, and it's awesome. No, it's beyond awesome. It's BE-awesome! And it's going on the DVD for Deliver-e, that's for sure.

This Friday: The Trailer of Destiny will be Unleashed.

I like to over-dramatize these things :P

Yet I have been anticipating this moment ever since we started filming in June of '09. The new DELIVER-E trailer = awesomeness.

Check back this Friday for the All-New Full Length Officially Awesome Trailer Release!

Sunday, September 19, 2010

Amateur filmmakers don't really have a filming schedule. It's hard to believe that we started filming over a year ago on June 10th, 2009! And on September 19th 2010, 466 days later, we have at last drawn the epic disaster comedy to a screeching halt!! (In other words, we're done filming).

Technically, there's only been 10-12 days of shooting. But we just took our sweet time... :P
That's me on the left, the crazy director; and Hannah, the co-director; Emily, the actress; and Mark, who really isn't there for any reason at all.

We don't have a group picture, unfortunately, this is just everyone who happened to be on set when we were finished (minus the picture-taker, who was John-Luke Dokupil) And IF we do have a wrap party, we will get a group picture.

DELIVER-E update

I haven't made a post in a while--because I've been particularly busy with filming! We have most of the shooting finished minus a few scenes that we will be filming soon. Editing has been greenlit, and I should hopefully have a trailer up online in a few weeks. In the meantime, check out the set pictures!

You can view more on our Facebook page. More pictures and videos coming soon! Long Live Aslan!

Believability test

This video is green screened--obviously I'm too young to drive a car. Does this video look realistic enough to believe I am?

Your thoughts? Comments?

The UPS man is...Jimmy Dokusweers Jr.

The UPS man has been (so far) the hardest character to cast. It's been recast at least four times before we could find the person who had the both the time and the "mmph" (you geeks will get that) to do the part. Jared Sweers, who has previously played Jimmy in the Risen Trilogy, will be playing both the part of the UPS man and the secret role in DELIVER-E. Not that it probably will change again at the last minute, as I've known it to do...

Sunday School homework

Here's some non-DELIVER-E related news for a change...a short film called Maine Man.
The black-and-white film was originally created as a Sunday school assignment. We were supposed to bring an piece of art that represented three attributes of Jesus. All three are there, but the movie clearly morphed into its own story :P

Hmm...Déjà vu.

Once again, the Deliver-e logo has been re-designed so as to have NO analogous qualities to the WALL-E logo. Changes changes changes. At least almost nobody is anticipating the release or hardly even knows about it...

Here's the new logo. You're thoughts?

Airplane joys

The founder of Snowtop studios [Raymond] and his family [siblings, mom, and yours truly] are currently in Virginia for NCFCA speech & debate Nationals.

Of course, we had to take an airplane to get there. And on the way, we got some awesome footage of planes, landings, electrical storms, flight attendants, an other such things only moviemakers would take time to tape. =]

Updated DELIVER-E trailer

I believe this is the first time I've posted the DELIVER-E trailer online, but it's been out for a while. I've made a few changes to it...

Pine Tree = Not.

By the way, Pine Tree Productions just closed down. It never existed, people. That never happened. It was just me and Jared the whole time.

Snowtop annouces next movie [APRIL FOOLS!!]

Many have asked: What's after DELIVER-E? Today, that question is answered. Snowtop has announced that they are now in the story stage of forming the fourth Risen escapade. It has further announced that the director of Super Pig, Timothy Chong, is returning to the directors chair for this upcoming adventure.
"We're really excited about this one." he says. "Snowtop's sixth film is aimed at more edgy, teen audience. There's going to be more of everything."
But what about the plot? Co-director Jared Sweers outlines the story for us.
"Chuck and Jimmy junior now face the most dangerous conquest in their earthly existence. An evil sinister doctor named Clawman has unleashed his long awaited scheme for world domination. Harnessing strange supernatural powers from "the void" he now has the ability to manipulate the minds of other victims and make them his evil minions. Now the fate of the universe lies within the hands of these unlikely heroes, destined to save the world."

New DELIVER-E character

After a long string of completely random posts you may be wondering what this blog is here for (If anybody is reading this blog, which nobody is, so what am I even doing here?) At any rate, here is some Snowtop related news for a change...First of all, the DELIVER-E script is pretty much finished, and our only real problem now is recruiting a UPS man.
Secondly, to wrap up the story we needed to add the most bizarre creature you've ever imagined: Uncle Francis. Yes, Uncle Francis.Don't get scared yet, I'm not finished. I still haven't shown you the color one.

And if that isn't good, I'm kidding, it stops there :P

Even in Seattle

Guess what?

Umbrellas really DO go inside out with strong wind like they do in movies. I speak from experience.

Just thought you should know that.
